      Tour Schedule, Academic Year 2010-2011

      Okey dokey... here's what the schedule looks like so far. There are other schools and conferences in the works.

      2010

      Sept 21-23: Washington State University, Pullman campus. I've got three FULL days of workshops, lectures, and classroom talks. Main event: On Men, Women, & The Rest Of Us: Tuesday the 21st at 6pm

      Oct 4-7: Kansas University, Lawrence KS. Details on Facebook.

      Oct 8: New York City, NY. NYC Book Launch for Gender Outlaws: The Next Generation, at Bluestockings Books beginning at 7pm. I'll be speaking, and several anthology authors will be reading.

      Oct 13: Drew University, Madison, NJ. I'm performing On Men, Women, and The Rest of Us.

      Oct 18-20: Carroll University, Waukesha, WI. It's 3 days: all Kate, all the time. 

      Oct 20-24: Int'l Drag King Extravaganza (IDKE) XII, Baltimore MD. Exact dates and times haven't been set, but it sure looks like I'll be teaching two workshops in acting and writing for the stage.

      Oct 29: Washington State University, Pullman. I'm skyping in to the monthly T-Party.

      Nov 6-9: Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. I'm working with a University task force to increase awareness on the topics of bullying and alternatives to suicide.

      Nov. 10-11 Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY. The Students Advocating Sexual Safety & Empowerment (SASSE, pronounced "Sassy") are bringing me in to deliver my talk, Dangerous Dreams and Damned Desires. I'll also be facilitating a survival tips workshop for inclusive, sex positive outlaws, who embrace gender anarchy.       Nov 15: University of California, Santa Barbara. Afternoon workshop on alternatives to suicide with resident advisors, evening talk: Sex, Bullies, and You: How America's Bully Culture Is Messing With Your Sex Life.

      Nov 19: Brown University, Providence, RI. I'm doing my annual drop-in to the Senior Theater Arts Seminar

      Dec 2: Fordham University, Bronx, New York. Details TBA.

      Dec 4-6: Seattle, WA. Three FULL days of performances, lectures, and workshops under the sponsorship of The Ingersoll Center. This is their first of an annual lecture & performance series.

      2011

      March: University of Toledo, Ohio. Details TBA.

      April 7-10, Indiana Univ, Bloomington IA, Postposttranssexual: Transgender Studies and Feminism

      April 18-19: Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio. I'm keynoting the University Pride Alliance annual Gaypril conference & festivities.

      Where is Kate? Winter-Spring-Summer 2012

      Here's the bare-bone places and dates. I'll post links and what I'm doing as soon as I've got it all nailed down. PLUS: there's more coming that's in the works, and I'll post news as soon as I've got it. Cross my heart.

      Monday-Tuesday, March 12 & 13, Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, Wyncote, PA. I'm 2012's Wenkart Writer in Residence. Monday, I give a workshop to students at the college. Tuesday afternoon, I'm doing a performance open to the public.

      Wednesday, March 24 - University of Lethbridge in Lethbridge, Alberta CA. OUTspoken conference. I'll be giving the closing keynote.

      Wednesday, March 28 - SUNY Oneonta, Oneonta NY

      Friday-Sunday, March 30-Apr 1, Momentum Conference, Washington DC. Barbara Carrellas and I are attending. Neither of us is speaking or on a panel or anything. We're just attending to learn and enjoy some time with tribe and family.

      Wednesday-Thursday, April 25-26, University of Missouri, Columbia MO. I'll be performing, leading a workshop and... ::drumroll:: ...I'll be the Grand Marshall of their Pride March. Ha!

      Tuesday, May 1 - Dixon Place, New York City NY - BOOK LAUNCH of my memoir - I'll read and answer any questions. Details need to be worked out, but it's going to be something like $15 a ticket. Bluestockings Books will be selling copies of the book. Then we can all hang out in the Dixon Place lobby—complete with bar—and I'll sign books and chat.

      Sunday, May 6 - MoMA PS 1, Long Island City NY - BOOK LAUNCH — details have yet to be worked out but it's gonna be fun.

      Thursday, May 10, Rebel Cupcake, Brooklyn, NY - Barbara Carrellas and I celebrate Rebel Cupcake's 2nd Anniversary with hostess Bevin Branlandingham

      Friday, May 18, 8pm, LGBT Center, New York City, NY — I'll be reading the raciest SM parts of my memoir, and conversing about them with a group of SM dykes, courtesy of LSM, as arranged by Sinclair Sexsmith. 

      Monday, June 4, New York City, The Bowery Poetry Club. I'm taking part in an evening called WE ARE THEATER, with The Guerrilla Girls—so you know it's going to be a kick-ass evening.

      Friday, June 15 - The Center, Los Angeles, CA I'll be in conversation on stage with MARA KEISLING, founding Executive Director of the National Center for Transgender Equality. That's gonna be amazing.

      Saturday-Sunday, June 16-17 - I'm doing two workshops for the LA Center and Trans Unity: one is going to be Hello, Cruel World: An Outlaw's Mini-Guide to Survival, a presentation which has become the basis for the forthcoming updated My New Gender Workbook. The other workshop will be much more hands-on: Your Gender/Now You See It, Now You Don't. 

      Friday, June 22, CBST synagogue, New York City, NY - I'm speaking from the pulpit in celebration of the congregation's annual Pride shabbat.

      Friday-Sunday August 5-7, The Center on Halsted, Chicago IL - I'm working out details now, but it looks like I'm doing a performance of On Men, Women, and the Rest of Us as a fundraiser for the Center, along with a hands-on workshop for queer youth: Trans-formation in Acting. 

      Tuesday-Wednesday, August 7-8 - Vancouver Queer Arts Festival, Vancouver BC. I'm performing On Men, Women, and the Rest of Us

      Saturday, August 11, Elliot Bay Books, Seattle, WA - BOOK LAUNCH - 7pm

      Monday, August 13 Powell's Books, Portland OR (1005 W. Burnside location) - BOOK LAUNCH 7:30pm

      The following dates are approximate, and there aren't specific plans. Beacon Press and I are still setting up this part of my Pacific Northwest book tour. If you've got any nifty ideas for me to do things on these dates, please let me know.
